Last day in Vietnam y’all. It’s kinda bittersweet, but mostly sweet. I’ve been so homesick and yearning to start this semester, which I’m missing the first day of. Thankfully two of my p.bros are going to pretend to be me for roll call. Bless them. It was tet today, or the Lunar Year and we woke up bright and early to put on our ao dais. Don’t we look smashing?

My grandpa suffered a stroke and now he can’t speak, so he communicates by writing on a dry erase board. He wrote how he was happy to see his kids and grandkids together on this day and it brought him to tears. Also, he laughed at me when he saw my ao dai. I’m glad he got a kick out of it. Then we did the whole wish our elders good fortune and they give us money. This was the first time I gave money to some of the younger ones. It was cute.

After that, everyone left to go to other family’s houses. I took a nap as my parents went to a temple. When they came back, we headed over to my dad’s cousins houses. They’re so very well off. I met my grandpa’s brother’s wife. She’s so adorable and tiny and nice. I just wanted to put her in my pocket.
Got home and played some more 13. I evened out, which is okay. After that, just internetted until it was time to go to my uncle’s play. He’s like totes famous over here. I don’t ever understand the plays we go to, so I don’t know why my parents insist my sisters and I go. This play was interesting. It involved gayness. The actors who played the gay guys were pretty cute, unfortunately they’re nothing like the gays over here. All the gays over here are so flamey. Of course, when they kissed, I was the first one to go “WOOOOOOO!” Went to this noodle place afterwards and now I’m homezo. Leaving for the airport in the a.m. Going to play cards meow. Goodnight.
GOOD LUCK WITH THE FIRST DAY OF THE NEW SEMESTER THOSE WHO HAVE IT TODAY!
